As part of our ongoing efforts to reduce our environmental footprint and strengthen responsible practices, Alliance DMC has taken several concrete steps in 2024–2025:
Reduced single-use plastics in the office by introducing refillable water dispensers and reusable bottles for team members.
Adopted more responsible purchasing, including using locally produced recycled notebooks instead of imported office materials.
Worked closely with local guides and service providers, contributing to local economic support in multiple regions across Jordan.
Increased internal awareness of sustainability practices through regular discussions and improvements to existing procedures.
These are the first steps of our sustainability journey. This page will be updated every two years to reflect new progress in line with Travelife Partner requirements.
Our official Sustainability Policy outlines our commitment to:
This policy applies to all employees, clients, suppliers, and partners. Implementation is led by our Sustainability Coordinator and monitored by senior management.
Social Responsibility & Human Rights
We respect labor laws and uphold international human rights standards. Our team enjoys a fair, inclusive workplace with transparent complaint mechanisms, professional development, and flexible work arrangements.
Environmental Responsibility
We are gradually increasing our use of digital tools to reduce paper consumption.
We use FSC-certified paper and manual double-sided printing.
Staff are instructed to print only essential documents.
We partner with Green Spot for office recycling.
Posters in the office remind staff to turn off lights, A/C, and unplug devices.
All staff use laptops and unplug them after use.
Energy & Carbon Management
We aim to prioritise energy-efficient equipment when feasible.
Employees carpool or use Amman Bus (الباص السريع).
No office fleet; we rent efficient vehicles from partners.
Land Use
Our rented office follows building sustainability guidelines. Our tours in nature strictly follow conservation practices and respect protected areas.
🔹 General Suppliers
We aim to prioritise local and responsible suppliers whenever possible. and maintain fair contracts. Our selection considers environmental, social, and legal compliance.
🔹 Inbound Partner Agencies
We collaborate with inbound agents who share our values and ensure their services align with our quality, safety, and sustainability standards.
🔹 Transport Providers
In Jordan, due to legal limitations, public transport cannot be used for tourists. Instead, we offer Seat-In-Coach (SIC) options when possible to reduce emissions. All vehicles are legally licensed and insured for tourist safety.
🔹 Accommodations
We encourage the selection of accommodations that demonstrate responsible practices.. Our selection process considers guest safety, accessibility, and responsible business operations.
Community Engagement
Many of our experiences directly support local communities—such as family-run restaurants, women’s cooperatives, and local guides. We aim to empower communities through tourism.
Cultural Sensitivity & Safety
All activities are screened for safety, legality, and cultural appropriateness. We do not promote activities that exploit people, animals, or cultural heritage.
Wildlife Code of Conduct
ommitted to protecting wildlife and avoiding any activity that harms animals or natural ecosystems. We follow international guidelines, including ABTA and Travelife principles.
We do not offer or promote activities involving captive wildlife, animal performances, or direct interactions (feeding, touching, riding, posing).
We do not support the trade or purchase of wildlife products such as skins, shells, coral, ivory, or any items from endangered species.
We only cooperate with licensed conservation bodies (e.g., RSCN) for nature-based experiences.
If wildlife excursions are developed in the future, they will strictly follow ethical and legal standards that protect species and habitats.
Any supplier violating wildlife protection principles will be immediately reviewed and cooperation may be discontinued.
Our goal is to ensure all travel experiences respect wildlife, support conservation, and protect Jordan’s natural heritage.
Forbidden souvenirs
Alliance DMC does not promote or support the sale or purchase of souvenirs made from endangered species (as listed in the CITES treaty and the IUCN Red List), or historical and archaeological artifacts unless permitted by law.
What you must NOT buy or export from Jordan
We work with experienced local guides and representatives. Several of them have completed Travelife’s Sustainability Management course, and we continuously share updates and training resources with our regular partners to ensure responsible service delivery.
Alliance DMC promotes destinations that are rich in culture, history, and natural beauty. We provide clients with accurate, respectful information about local customs, laws, and sustainability issues. Our guides are encouraged to share local insights that foster meaningful connections and responsible behavior.
Alliance DMC strongly condemns all forms of sexual exploitation, especially of children. Such acts are illegal under Jordanian and international law. We inform clients about this on our website and enforce a zero-tolerance policy across all operations.
We aim to inspire responsible behaviour among our guests by:
Sharing practical sustainability tips before and during their trip.
Encouraging water and energy conservation in accommodations.
Recommending local businesses and community experiences.
These actions help travellers contribute positively to the destinations they visit.
Sustainability is an evolving journey. Alliance DMC is committed to reviewing this policy regularly and taking manageable, realistic steps toward better environmental, social, and economic performance.
We look forward to growing our sustainability practices in collaboration with our partners, community organisations, and Travelife.
